Charity Valentine's Quiz

Over Valentine’s Day the Charity Committee ran a Fireside Quiz based on romantic movies. Pupils across all year groups sold quiz sheets to family and friends raising a fantastic £1400 for our nominated charities.

We are very grateful to all pupils who contributed to this total and appreciate the support from family and friends. Particular congratulations go to the pupils of 8Z and 9Z who accumulated the highest class totals.

There were well over 500 completed entries returned and the following winners selected:

We are extremely grateful to the local businesses that so willingly supported us and provided prizes for the competition.

This week we have been selling Easter buns at breaktimes and next week we finish this spring term with a non-uniform day for a £1 donation. While the pupils are out of uniform, normal classes will take place and so pupils should bring all books and equipment as usual. School will finish at the end of period 7 – 1.05pm.

All our fundraising this year has been in support of two nominated charities, Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI and Alzheimer’s Research UK which have a special significance to pupils and staff in Larne Grammar School.
