Medallion XV: Year 11

Fixtures:
As well as playing 'friendly fixtures', Larne Grammar School also enters a number of inter-school competitions. The two most important competitions are the Senior Schools Cup and the Medallion Shield. In order to prepare for the competitions the Medallion and Senior players will focus on sport specific pitch sessions and conditioning sessions in the school's state of the art strength and conditioning suite.

Touring
The 1st XV undertake a major overseas tour once every three years. The aim is to provide every rugby playing pupil in the school with an opportunity to take part in a major tour at some stage in their school career. The last five tours have been to Canada, 2007 and 2010; Portugal in 2013 and 2016; and France in 2019.
The Larne Grammar School Rugby Club also proudly introduced a junior rugby tour in December 2022. 43 Year 9 and Year 10 pupils travelled to Edinburgh to enjoy training, team building and learning beyond the classroom.
