Larne Grammar School Sailing Team

The multiple Royal Yachting Association Northern Ireland (RYANI) Schools' Cup winning LGS Sailing Team is one of the most successful teams in the school's history. Having won the prestigous Schools' Cup 6 times in the last 8 years of the Youth Championships having taken place, pupils are part of a very successful team of whom the school is extremely proud.

The school maintains positive links to local sailing clubs through the pupils and we seek to support them, where possible, to continue to develop their skills and be outstanding ambassadors for the school community. Every year our sailors successfully compete in local, national and international regattas across a number of different classes, and each September a team of up to 20 pupils from Larne Grammar successfully competes in the RYANI Youth Championships hosted by a local sailing club.
